Self-publishing resourcesPosted: May 31, 2011
Google “self-publishing” and you’ll find lots of listings. However, most of them are trying to get you to publish with their company. When seeking info on how to publish your own books, look for resources that let you choose how and with whom you’re going to do it. Self-publishing is big business these days. You’ll find ads all over the magazines and websites for writers. Look at them with an open mind. Dan Poynter has developed a reputation of something of a self-pub guru. His Self-Publishing Manual is full of step-by-step guidance. Another good one is The Complete Guide to Self-Publishing by Marilyn Ross and Sue Collier.
Smashwords.com has some ebooks on self-publishing that you can download for free.
Some great articles on self-publishing can be found at writing-world.com.
There are lots more, but this will get you started.
